Faculty Viva Voce

Candidates qualifying the paper stage attend a 25-minute whiteboard interview with a Department Chair to assess cognitive coachability.

Traditional coaching exams test whether a student has already enrolled in earlier foundation courses and memorized formulas. The NSAT deliberately presents novel physics configurations and intuitive geometry proofs designed so that prior syllabus coaching gives zero advantage. We measure how effectively a student reasons from scratch.
In a classroom of 80 to 200 students, true dialogue is impossible; teaching degenerates into a broadcast lecture. With 18 scholars, our Department Chairs can hear every student's reasoning during whiteboard solving, immediately diagnosing subtle conceptual errors before they metastasize.
Classes for 11th and 12th graders are scheduled on alternating evenings (4:30 PM – 8:30 PM) plus Saturdays, preventing conflict with CBSE, ICSE, or State board schools. Furthermore, our curriculum thoroughly covers NCERT board derivations, eliminating the need for separate board tuition.
Every student is assigned a dedicated desk in our Research Doubt Desks adjacent to faculty chambers. Senior chairs remain available from 4:00 PM to 9:30 PM every working evening. There is no booking quota or time limit on one-on-one whiteboard sessions.
While classroom cohorts are locked to either Indiranagar or Koramangala to maintain peer continuity, all NISTE scholars have unrestricted access to the Quantum Library Commons and study facilities at both campus locations using their biometric student keycards.
